The 2014 primary election is May 6, 2014, and the deadline to register to vote for the primary was April 7th.

The 2014 general election is Tuesday, November 4, 2014. The deadline to register to vote in that election is October 6, 2014.

Polls are open from 6am to 6pm. You must have a government-issued photo ID. If you do not have one, you can get one at no cost from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, on McGalliard in NE Muncie.

General Information and Register to Vote

You can register to vote online at www.indianavoters.com or print a registration form and mail it to the Voter Registration Office in the Delaware County Building, 2nd floor, 100 W. Main Street, Muncie, IN 47305.  That office will also mail you a registration form.  The phone number there is 765-747-7812. In Indiana, you cannot register to vote at the polls.  
Where to Vote and Reviewing the Ballot

Your voting location (polling place) is based on where you live in Delaware County.  You can learn your voting location by going to www.indianavoters.com. If you cannot find what you need, you can ask for assistance from the Office of the Delaware County Auditor, Voter Registration Office, 2nd floor, 100 W. Main Street, Muncie, IN.  That office will also mail you a registration form.  The phone number there is 765-747-7812.


Delaware County Early Voting

General information on early voting in Indiana is at http://www.in.gov/sos/elections/2402.htm.  

For the 2014 primary, early voting begins on April 8th.

Early voting can be done at the Office of Voter Registration (100 West Main Street, 2nd floor) weekdays from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  On that day, early voting at this office ends at noon. 

You can also vote by absentee ballot no earlier than 29 days prior to an election.  At the Office of the Indiana Secretary of State you can learn the conditions for absentee ballots or download the form.  You can also request the form from the Delaware County Voter Registration Office.  The form must be returned to that office prior to the election.
